How deals go

The rental is one escrow, released to the seller at pickup; a deposit is a second escrow, released back to the buyer when the car comes back as it left. A timer to the buyer on the deposit, set past the return, keeps it from being held without reason, and an arbiter both trust can settle damage. Before driving off, both take photos of the car and note the fuel and the distance on the dashboard.
